Hello, visitor! My name is Cyn, and my work-at-home journey began nearly five years ago, when my third child was born. He was born very ill (he’s 100% well now!), and the cost of daily lab tests (and gas to get to and from the lab) was suffocating. We would have been able to handle those costs in stride had it been a couple of months before. But as it turned out, my husband’s company had just been bought out. What this meant to our family was a huge cut in pay – nearly 40%!

Now, saddled with a pile of bills and 40% less income to pay them with, I knew that –unless I wanted my husband to get a second job— I’d have to find ways to earn money from home.

Those first couple of years, I did everything I could to earn money. I had a huge yard sale, but ended up making less than $30. A second, better-planned yard sale earned me $178. Then I tried my hand at eBay. At first, it was easy, and I earned about $50-$100 per week, selling our old clothes and toys and trinkets that we didn’t want or need anymore. I soon ran out of things to sell, and those trips to the post office were a lot tougher with a toddler in tow.

Looking for another way to work at home and earn money online, I stumbled upon another woman’s site. I honestly can’t tell you how I found it. I don’t remember. Her site didn’t sell information or ebooks – it was just a website with a few snippets of free information. Her name is Kim, and from her I learned that people can earn money by creating websites.

From there, it was a journey of discoveries. I taught myself how to build sites, how to write for the internet, and how to monetize the sites that I created.

I added Google Adsense to my first site… . .

…after reading that one website owner had earned over $137,000 in one month. I was eager to start earning that kind of money. So I waited. And waited. And waited. After one week, I had made $0.03 with Adsense. The following week, I was thrilled when I made $0.13 in one day, but still wondering how that one guy had made such a huge amount. Little by little, my Adsense income did pick up on its own, but it still earned me less than a dollar each day. Then I started researching. I applied what I’d learned, and started seeing huge changes immediately.

Within a couple of weeks, I’d made a $200 with Adsense, when before I’d struggled for months and hadn’t been able to earn $100 in total.

I knew I was onto something.

I kept researching and applying what I’d learned. Through trial and error, I discovered a few techniques that have been golden for me. I use these techniques on all of my sites, and have been able to earn a very comfortable income with Google Adsense.

It took my nearly a year to learn all of this.
